A weapon was found inside a student's vehicle on the high school campus earlier this morning. Law enforcement was contacted immediately and the student was taken off campus to further investigate. The weapon has been removed from the school site. At no time did the administration feel there was any real threat to the students or faculty at any of the campuses. Law enforcement also confirmed there is no threat and all students and staff are safe. Elmore City-Pernell administrators are cooperating with local law enforcement as they continue a precautionary investigation on this situation. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any concerns. I can be reached at 580-788-2565. As always, the safety of our students and employees remains our top priority.
