I have accepted a position back in Enid as their head high school principal. The decision to move back to Enid was not easily made, but as many of you know my husband and I have lived apart for most of the last three years. This move will put us back together on a full time basis and will get me back to my roots as an administrator and working directly with kids.
I tell people that my three years as a superintendent are filled with 20 years of experience because of all that we have gone through: a wild fire at the school farm, bond elections, vote-no groups, championships and hard losses, and now a world-wide pandemic and distance learning. Please know that in every decision made, I did what I thought was best for students and for the district, and I would do it all over again. The ECP family is a strong one and I am honored to have been part of it, if even for a short time. Thank you for welcoming me and making me feel part of the family, even if at times I was the black sheep.
I know the board will find an excellent replacement and they will continue to lead the district in a direction that will grow ECP and make it the Best It Can Be! (Thank you Mr. Willis.)
My official last day will be June 30th. Please know that I will continue to pour my heart and soul into this district until the last time I turn off the lights in my office and pull out of the parking lot for the final time. It has been a pleasure to be a Badger!
